All suites at the Historic Nutt House have wide entrances to deluxe private baths that are very spacious and spa-like, with luxurious towels and soothing bath salts provided for your enjoyment. The entire hotel including the expansive Grand Sitting Room perched above the original Grand Staircase, is bountifully furnished with Victorian and Edwardian antiques, and provides an ambiance that take you back in time to experience first hand a great American bygone era. All of the large windows in the Sitting Room overlook the bustling Historic Downtown Square. Historic vistas are visible from every room of the Hotel, and joyfully ring out Granbury's rich and eventful past, and her connections to our National and State history. While at The Nutt House, you can roll up your sleeves and dive into our "Nutt Shoppes" featured on the entire main floor! There you can enjoy over ten in-house specialty shoppes, that truly have something for everyone and every budget! At our front desk located in the Historic Lobby with it's original Room Key Holder still intact, purchase a ticket to a theatrical performance at the renowned Granbury Theater Company, in the Granbury Opera House, visible from The Nutt House just right across the square. The recently renovated and expanded Opera House reopened in December 2013, and was celebrated at a Red Carpet Gala which drew celebrities and Senators alike, as this charming city rallied behind a sense of accomplishment and heartfelt comradery. Now they bring monthly entertainment delights with plays that span the gamut of the theatrical repertoire from musicals and comedy to high drama. Also nearby is the New Granbury Live- known for its great showcasing of Texas country western artists as well as local talent. Just outside our front doors, are over forty exquisite downtown restaurants, wineries and shops! Less than two blocks away lie the shores of Lake Granbury, where you can take a walk on the beach or boardwalk, or rent a kayak and take a paddle downstream on this lake formed by the waters of El Rio de lost Brazos de Dios- The River of the Arns of God.
